THE YAEYAMA ISLANDS
Remote, pristine, a Pacific paradise; Ishigaki is the largest and most mountainous of the Yaeyama Islands, which lie at the southernmost end of the Okinawan archipelago, over 1000km from the Japanese mainland. Much of the island is unbothered by time with lush hillsides, primeval forests, palm groves and mangroves, white sands, warm waters and vast coral reefs.
Blessed with incredible terrain and a sub-tropical climate, sugarcane has thrived on the island for centuries. We aim to highlight this legacy and delight with new wave, terroir-heavy rums. Our journey begins with blackstap molasses produced at the island's sole sugar mill from 100% locally farmed sugar canes. The rich molasses is unusually pungent and packs the signature funk of our Silver Rum.

Big dreams, a tiny island, mountains of sugar, an endless horizon. We are third generation producers of traditional Okinawan rice spirit, Awamori - an earthy, umami, deeply rich distillate. Passion, Ishigaki pride, a penchant for richer flavors, and a deep desire to connect with curious drinkers across the sea led to our bold new exploratory in rum. Neon Seas is rum reimagined, the first of its kind in the new Yaeyama tradition.
